Weibel-Palade bodies orchestrate pericytes during angiogenesis
08/08/2019 - This study performed at CRRET laboratory and published in the journal ATVB demonstrated that WPB Weibel-Palade bodies (WPBs) exocytosis and Ang-2 secretion are regulated during angiogenesis to limit pericyte coverage of remodeling vessels by disrupting Ang-1/Tie2 autocrine signaling in pericytes.
Weibel-Palade bodies are endothelial cell (EC)-specific storage organelles formed by vWF (von Willebrand factor) polymerization and that contain the proangiogenic factor Ang-2 (...)

Antitumor peptides from frog skin secretions
05/06/2011 - We have reported the presence of two anti-proliferative peptides active against cancer cells in the skin secretions of the South American tree frog, Phyllomedusa bicolor. After two purification steps, we identified two fractions (...)

A Simple Approach to Cancer Therapy Afforded by Multivalent Pseudopeptides that Target Cell-Surface Nucleoproteins
25/04/2011 - Recent studies have implicated the involvement of cell surface forms of nucleolin in tumor growth. In this study performed in collaboration with the team of J.P. Briand, CNRS UPR 9021, we investigated whether a synthetic ligand of (...)
